Wedding Tips
-Set a budget and stick to it! There is nothing worse than stressing about finances and time!
-Do not procrastinate planning! Even if your big day isn't for another year or two, don't wait to start locking in vendors!
-Do not schedule a huge chunk of down time before your ceremony starts. That is the time when you start becoming nervous and the younger ones in the Wedding Party start to get bored and restless.
- Give your photographer one of your invites to add to detail photos
- Ask your florist to send scraps from your flowers instead of throwing them all away! These can be used to tie your florals into your wedding detail photos!
- Include personal details as much as you can! Family trinkets in your bouquet, a memory table for those who have gone on before us, candid photos framed as decorations, mom's jewelry, dad's watch or grandparents cake knife are all great ways to tie your family's history into your day!
-Have all those details in a box together ready to hand off to your photographer. This cuts down on keeping track of who has what and where everything is!
- Have little snacks or something small for the Ring Bearer(s) and Flower Girl(s). Leave those things in the front row, this will keep them occupied during the ceremony and will also serve as a treat for a job well done! Goldfish and gummies are great options!
-Make sure your rings are clean before your wedding day!
- If your budget allows, order a cute little box for your rings! This helps keep your rings together and from being misplaced and also adds a little extra to ring photos!
- If you are concerned about nerves and butterflies on the big day, consider doing a first look! This gives the two of you an opportunity to calm each other down and enjoy a moment alone together. It also gives the chance to get pictures before the ceremony as well as after taking away the feeling of being rushed after the ceremony to get so many pictures in!
-You don't have to do everything on your own even if you are doing a mainly DIY wedding! Make it known what you want and need and delegate tasks out to family and friends. They want to help, let them and take some stress off yourself!
-Remember, this is YOUR day! It is not your day to please everyone, plan the wedding you want and have fun with it!
- Ask your photographer to help with your timeline, don't be afraid to ask your vendors questions! We are here to make your day the best it can possibly be!
- Give your photographer a list of family/friends you want photos with right after your ceremony! I can send you an example of this if you need one!
